At the age of 83 has died in the city of Atlanta USA, doctor Rafael Tudela Reverter, man's extensive experience in leadership, organization, and arbitration in Venezuela, America and the world chess. For more than 65 years doctor Tudela was closely linked to chess; one of his great passions; area in which also became relevant positions such as the President of the Venezuelan Chess Federation, President of the Confederation of chess for America and Vice President of FIDE at the time of Florencio Campomanes. International Arbiter (3902390/1984) and founder of the National Center of Chess in Caracas. Chess was his great passion and cultivated it with care during their lifetime. Tidela was a great friend of Fischer, Karpov, Spassky, Najdorf, Bolbochán, Pilnik, Durao, Ravell Méndez, Torán and Cherem, among others. Rest in peace.

A los 83 años ha fallecido en la ciudad de Atlanta, Estados Unidos el doctor Rafael Tudela Reverter, hombre de dilatada trayectoria en la dirigencia, organización y arbitraje del ajedrez de Venezuela, América y el Mundo. Desde hace más de 65 años el doctor Tudela estuvo muy ligado al ajedrez; una de sus grandes pasiones; área en la cual también llegó a ocupar relevantes cargos tales como el de presidente de la Federación Venezolana de Ajedrez, la Confederación de Ajedrez de América y la Vicepresidencia de FIDE en la época de Florencio Campomanes. Arbitro Internacional de Ajedrez (1984), presidente de la Federación Venezolana de Ajedrez en varias ocasiones y fundador del Centro Nacional de Ajedrez en Caracas. Fue gran amigo de los maestros Fischer, Karpov, Spasski, Najdorf, Bolbochán, Pilnik, Durao, Ravell Méndez y Cherem. El ajedrez fue su gran pasión y lo cultivó con esmero durante toda su vida. Paz a sus restos.
