In the frame of the Asian Cup the UAE Chess Federation held a FIDE Seminar for International Organizers in Abu Dhabi from 29 March to 2 April 2016. The Novotel Abu Dhabi Al Bustan offered excellent conditions for this course. The lectures were given by IO Horst Metzing from Germany. Subject matters were FIDE events, tournament and calendar regulations as well as bid procedure. Finally 22 candidates from all over Asia passed the examination:
